IPL Stands for Intensed Pulsed Light. Treatments reduce hair growth by using broad-spectrum light to target the hair follicles. Light energy is absorbed by areas of pigment. The hairs are heated up and damages the hair follicle, slowing hair growth and preventing it completely. Anywhere from 6-10 treatments are required. Depending on skin type and hair colour. Cease any excessive sun exposure for 4 to 8 weeks prior to treatment. No tanning products for two weeks prior to treatment. Notify staff of any medications you are currently taking to determine if they are photosensitive.
